Kenta Iyoki

Prof. Iyoki is from Asahikawa, Hokkaido, and enjoys skiing and GLAY, and his favorite beer is SAPPORO CLASSIC. He was introduced to zeolites in the Okubo-Shimojima Laboratory when he was a fourth-year undergraduate student, attracted by the atmosphere of the laboratory, and since then he has consistently conducted research on the synthesis, modification, and application of zeolites. During his post-doctoral research at MIT in the USA, he worked on catalysis in the Román group. After becoming independent, he hopes to contribute to solving environmental problems by introducing not only zeolites but also various other useful materials to the world, and is aiming to establish an environmental material systems science for this purpose.
